There is no better time than the holidays to go a little bolder and more colorful in fashion style and glamour! From chandelier earrings, sparkly tops and sassy, sequined dresses, you can shine at Christmas time. With holiday parties kicking off in full gear, not to mention New Year’s Eve celebrations, why not kick it up a notch and allow your fashionista to emerge!

MACY’S holiday styles are always affordable and fashionable, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite MACY’S dress picks (below). You can order these dresses, by clicking on each photo! They all range between $18-$151. That’s the Magic of MACY’S!

SONYA’S HOLIDAY FASHION TIPS

1. ONLY FLAUNT OUTFITS THAT FLATTER YOUR FIGURE.

We were all born with different shapes & sizes, so don’t get deceived and think that you’re a size smaller or larger than you actually are. There is nothing more unflattering than someone wearing an outfit that is too tight or too loose. Wear fashions that compliment your shape.  If needed, use undergarments to help give a more svelte look.

2. KEEP IT STRIKING.

You’ve heard the adage “Keep It Simple.” But for the Holidays I say “Keep it Striking – Not Simple!” A blah outfit at a holiday party makes you look dull and boring! If you’re a little shy and prefer not to socialize with others, go ahead and wear something drab. But even if you’re not in the best mood, your more appealing outfit will elevate your spirits. Wear something that shows that you have a sense of holiday cheer and excitement. Keep it STRIKING if you want to Strike up a conversation!

3. GO COLORFUL.

Find out what color looks good on you and wear it well! And yes, red is the color for Christmas! Not only is it traffic stopping, but red is the color of love and emotion. Studies have shown that red puts you in a winning mindset, attracts men to women faster and makes men more desirable to women! Other hot colors of the season are purple, silver and blue, winter white and gold.

4. WEAR ACCESSORIES THAT COMPLIMENT YOUR OUTFIT.

Whether you wear something bold or subdued, your accessories – your jewelry, shoes, even your hairstyle, should compliment you and your outfit. Some formal dresses look better if the hair is an updo or pulled back. Bulky jewelry looks best worn with simple fashions. Know what looks good on you and flip through fashion magazines regularly to get ideas.

5. WEAR A SMILE.

I have never been to a Christmas party or New Year’s Celebration where I did not wear a smile! Too many times we walk out of the house in our best outfit and accessories, but forget the most important thing to wear – a smile! I guarantee you, if you go into a room with a smile, you will meet more people than you would if you have a serious look. Smiles are Contagious. Is yours worth catching?

Macy’s is known for its niche in popular culture and the diversity of its merchandise. It competes with Belk, Bon-Ton, and Dillard’s; more upscale facilities compete with Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, and Saks Fifth Avenue. It has produced the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City since 1924, and sponsored the City’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display since 1976. Macy’s flagship was, and is still being advertised as, the largest in the world, and draws shoppers from well beyond the New York City Metropolitan Area.^,`’
