CHRISTINA AGUILERA RELEASES NEW ORIGINAL SONG “LOYAL BRAVE TRUE” AND UPDATED RENDITION OF “REFLECTION” FEATURED IN DISNEY’S NEW LIVE ACTION “MULAN Watch a brand new sneak peek of Disney’s “Mulan” featuring “Loyal Brave True” performed by Christina Aguilera Multi-platinum and global award-winning superstar singer/songwriter Christina Aguilera is set to perform a new original song, “Loyal Brave True,” and “Reflection (2020)” from Disney’s “Mulan.” Both songs will be featured in the film and on the Walt Disney Records soundtrack, with score composed and conducted by Harry Gregson-Williams, set for release on March 25. “Loyal Brave True” is available as a single. The song was written by Jamie Hartman, Harry Gregson-Williams, Rosi Golan and Billy Crabtree, and produced by Jamie Hartman. President of Music & Soundtracks for Walt Disney Studios, Mitchell Leib, approached the artist on behalf of the project. “Christina is one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Her original performance of ‘Reflection’ from the animated film when she was a then 16-year-old unknown, holds its appropriate place in the history of music and was a launch pad for her unparalleled career that would follow. As this epic live-action version of ‘Mulan’ heads to theaters, Christina brings her innate abilities and years of growth as an artist to the film, reprising ‘Reflection’ and performing the new song ‘Loyal Brave True.’ I think these songs will touch today’s moviegoers in that powerful way we saw 22 years ago.” Aguilera said, “The film ‘Mulan’ and the song ‘Reflection’ coincided with getting me my first record deal. It’s amazing to come back to such an incredible movie that’s full of power and meaning, and that meaning holds the test of time: staying true to yourself, being who you are, and teaching how to be fearless. My new song, ‘Loyal Brave True,’ represents the fine balance between vulnerability …

Posted in Movie News | Leave a commentSad news to report during PAFF. Ja’Net Dubois, Co-Founder of the Pan African Film Festival passed away. Below is a statement from Danny Glover: “We are shocked and stunned by the passing of one of the founders of the Pan African Film and Arts Festival, and one of the most important shining and guiding lights. Our sister, Ja’Net DuBois, epitomized a true, conscious Pan African artist who mastered the ability to be idealistic and practical at the same time. It’s rare to find a person — let alone an artist — who strikes a wonderful balance. If Madame DuBois had lived during the times of the great Pharaohs; or the great kingdoms of Timbuktu; or the great kingdoms in southern Africa, such as the Zimbabwe and Zulu kingdoms, she would have been known as a Jali or a Sangoma. In our contemporary times, she was able to use modern technology to spread her voice, her image, her spirit, her songs and our stories around the globe and touch us with humor, dignity and her ancient wisdom. A mighty giant tree has fallen in the forest today! With her death occurring in the midst of the Pan African Film and Arts Festival, she left us an important message — support cultural institutions like her beloved Pan African Film and Arts Festival, and it will point you toward liberation and freedom. If not — like the bluesman, Taj Maahal sings — you’ll stumble and fall. ” — co-founders Danny Glover and Ayuko Babu, on behalf of the staff of the Pan African Film and Arts Festival and the many thousands of people who attend it. On a brighter note, NBA legend Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal was on the red carpet Monday for the screening of FOSTER BOY, written by Jay Paul Deratany and …
