CHRISTON

I recently caught up with multi-talented and beautiful singer Christon Ingram at her private rehearsal in Atlanta. I had already heard about the 6’4 model, actress and singer, through her manager dad, Brian Ingram, a former New England Patriot and Tennessee Vol. “You’ve got to meet Christon and hear her sing. She is incredible,” Brian raved about his daughter, a former University of Alabama (Birmingham) basketball player with a Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting. After months of conflicting schedules, Christon and I finally connected December 5, prior to her trip to Memphis – where she performed at the Atlanta Vs. Memphis Annual Basketball Classic at the Hard Rock Cafe.

During my evening at rehearsal with Christion, I was truly impressed with her stage presence and her fresh talent. Christon is incredibly striking with a voice that reminds me of the late Aaliyah, a twinge of Ciara and Janet Jackson – all combined with a unique jazz undertone. She was entertaining and confident- singing tracks off her latest CD, “Celebrate,” while adding in a few Sade and Beyonce snippets from time to time. I found myself grooving with Christon for hours, getting a full show from a young lady who is surely on a path to stardom.
